Originally built in 1983, the Museum Tower designed by famed architect Cesar Pelli rises above the Museum of Modern Art and is located in the true heart of Midtown Manhattan. This apartment, located on a high floor, floats amongst iconic old and new skyscrapers in the area. Our studio was tasked with reimagining the outdated interior, bringing in a modern design while making it feel at home in the Midtown context.
The design is a simple contrast of bright finishes against a dark hardwood floor, bringing in the light and views from outside while feeling firmly grounded inside the apartment. Polished nickel plumbing and lighting fixtures add a classic touch. In addition to updating all finishes and lighting, we made improvements throughout the floor plan, shifting walls and capturing unused space, resulting in clear and functional spaces.
